Dear Greenway Psychiatry patients, As we emailed all of you, Mount Pleasant Psychiatry/DBA Greenway Psychiatry is joining the nationwide tele-health platform Talkiatry. This will allow patients with eligible insurances to use their insurance to pay for appointments with Dr. Summerall. All appointments going forward will be virtual appointments on the Talkiatry platform and must be scheduled through Talkiatry. All patients will need to enroll with Talkiatry to continue treatment with Dr. Summerall. Enrollment instructions are at the end of this message. Please follow these carefully. You may find that your insurance is not eligible. As we are about to enter insurance enrollment open season, here are the Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans that Talkiatry does and does not accept in case you would like to switch plans to ensure that Dr. Summerall is in your network. Talkiatry accepts most other large commercial insurances and some Medicare. Accepted Blue Cross/Blue Shield Plans:
ZCY, ZCV, ZCR – Large Group / Small PPO Plans Not Accepted Blue Cross/Blue Shield Plans:
ZCK & ZCS – The state health plans (CBA for mental health, out
of network) Dr. Summerall currently holds licenses in Vermont, New York, and South Carolina. She has applied for a North Carolina license, and patients who have moved to NC will be able to be seen in Talkiatry when that license is finalized. For patients who do not have insurance, prefer face-to-face appointments, or would like a cash-pay option, Dr. Summerall recommends contacting the office of Dr. Jeffrey Cluver, a Charleston-based psychiatry practice that is taking new patients. Please identify yourself as one of Dr. Summerall’s patients when you call. To contact Dr. Cluver’s practice, click here. Once enrolled in Talkiatry, you should contact Dr. Summerall through Talkiatry. However, in the interim and for patients who have questions and cannot enroll with Talkiatry, please text the Greenway Psychiatry mobile phone at (843)-642-2467. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE LANDLINE WHICH WILL SOON NO LONGER FUNCTION (843-400-4089); only texts will be answered going forward. Thank you for your patience — transitions are challenging! We here at Greenway appreciate that, and appreciate you! See you soon…
Greenway Psychiatry Talkiatry Enrollment InstructionsIf you'd like to continue your care with me, you'll need to complete a few steps and book new appointments directly through Talkiatry. The process takes about 15-20 minutes, and you'll need your insurance card. Step 1: Check if your Insurance Plan is in-Network with TalkiatryTalkiatry's services are covered by a number of insurance plans. They will only see patients whose insurance they accept. Go to this link and enter your Insurer and Plan name. This will tell you if your plan is in-network. If you don't see your insurance plan listed, please continue with the process as your plan may still be in network. Once you've completed the following steps, Talkiatry will verify your insurance and send you a visit confirmation via email. This usually takes about 48 hours. Step 2: Speak with Talkiatry's Intake Coordinator TeamSpeaking directly with a Patient Care Coordinator is the fastest way to confirm your booking with me at Talkiatry. Use this link to book a 15-minute phone call with a Care Coordinator. At the bottom of the sign-up page, there will be an optional question asking if you are looking to book with a psychiatrist who was previously at a different practice. Please put my name in this spot. When you have your phone call with the Care Coordinator, please mention my name and that you used to see me at a previous practice. Step 3: Schedule a Visit with Dr. SummerallYou can schedule a time for your first visit through Talkiatry's patient portal. Go to this link.
